There is no easy way to summarize the past month.

I marked it from live to live, but those go by so quickly. They feel like forever and then they're over and you're winded and trying to race for a pick or a drumstick or your hand is still shaking from where Kaoru's guitar was vibrating against it, that time. We struggle through train stations with our suitcases, and I'm tripping at the bottom of the escalator when I look up and see his face and am too terrified to do anything but get out of the way. They ask it of me in the lives and I give all of my heart to them, throw my fist into the air until my arm is aching, brace my arms against the girl in front of me and push my body to its breaking point. All I can give them is that, is the most of me, to keep them on stage that much longer and say thank you with my heartbeat and a cracking voice.

The delay between my American-based bank account and my ability to withdraw funds here is painful. I'm waiting for a $200 check to clear my account because until then, I can't book the ferry to Sapporo, for the last live on the 8th, and my last client payment to arrive because I couldn't need it more.
